Jim and Andy Hackett Continue Run As TeamLogic IT’s Top-Volume Franchise
Longtime TeamLogic IT franchise ownership team credits solid customer service and organic growth, alongside growing brand recognition, for success
When it’s time to pass out the annual honors at the TeamLogic IT franchise owners’ annual meeting, there’s a lot of excitement. There’s also some tension in the air, because while the competition’s friendly, it’s still a competition.
So, when Jim and Andy Hackett, who own and operate six TeamLogic IT franchise territories in the Boston area, snagged top-volume honors for the second year running, they were justifiably proud of the hard work that got them there.
“The corporate team at TeamLogic IT does a great job at not divulging things — in a good way — so that kept us working hard toward the win,” Jim says. “But we were pretty sure we had it nailed.”
Customer service a core business focus
In addition to doing well within the TeamLogic IT franchise family, the Hacketts’ operation also is highly regarded locally. It has won a “Best of Woburn” award in the IT Professionals category for seven years running, for example. And its highly visible offices at the I-93/I-95 interchange also boost awareness.
“We have a lot of referrals, more than I ever expected,” Jim says. “But that’s because our reputation in the marketplace is such that people recognize not just our name, but also know how hard our technicians and our whole team work to provide excellent customer service. That, in turn, helps grow brand awareness. But we also do some marketing, such as a 25-foot sign facing the highway, which sure doesn’t hurt when it’s lit up at night for all the drivers to see.”
Going strong 10 years in
A decade after opening, the Hacketts say that they continue to expand their local presence thanks to the solid reputation they’ve built, as well as the support they get from fellow TeamLogic IT franchise owners and the corporate team.
“We’re actively selling, marketing and servicing clients in six territories, and we’ve been able to do that because of the premier location of our initial site,” Jim says. “But to the customer, we’re just TeamLogic IT. We look forward to growing as more people find us, and then get to know us and the quality work we can do for them around managed IT services, security and any other technological needs they may have.”
