Startup Tools Aid Chicago TeamLogic IT Franchise Owner’s Virtual Rollout
Variety of marketing tools and other support allow technology franchise owners to build brand awareness and work potential leads even during shutdowns
Timing is everything when opening a new small business, and TeamLogic IT has proven that new technology franchise owners can start strong — anytime.
As an example, consider Elijah Anderson, owner of a TeamLogic IT location in the Chicago area. Anderson was one of the first new owners to attend TeamLogic IT University at corporate headquarters in California in late May and then opening his doors on June 22, just as his city, like many other large metro areas, was dealing with a rise in COVID-19 cases and slowing business reopening.
Customized marketing allows for distanced outreach
“It was pretty tough, because we couldn’t go out and do any door-knocking,” Anderson recalls. “But the team at TeamLogic IT’s main office was amazing. They worked with me to make sure that I was setting up marketing automation emails and other online outreach, as well as getting our social media and other online profiles up and running so people could find us.”
Anderson’s background includes stints in the accounting and finance verticals, so marketing of any kind was unfamiliar territory to him. Being able to set up shop online meant that he isn’t losing any time in the important early days of his TeamLogic IT franchise’s operation, therefore he’ll be able to answer questions and provide info around such unique TeamLogic IT technology franchise offerings as managed IT services, he adds.
Building brand awareness possible even during a pandemic
As a former Fortune 100-company consultant, Anderson knows the value of being prepared for any eventuality. That’s why he gives high marks to his onboarding and training, which covered the early days of the pandemic to the extremely fluid situation his community is in now.
“I signed my franchise agreement on March 5, and quickly realized that the TeamLogic IT training team was customizing as much as they could as we waited to be able to physically go to California,” he says. “They were very smart not to try to totally move to a new, online training platform, because that would have slowed them down for when things are back to normal. The mix of training we got was perfect for this time.”
Even though it’s not business as usual, with in-person sales calls and other meetings, Anderson says he’s still been set up to succeed when those days do return.
“From writing scripts and automation to building some connections online, I have all the tools I need to create an authentic voice for the TeamLogic IT brand,” he says. “They have set me up with no reservations and given me all the tools I need to find my way to build this business, even in these very difficult times.”
TeamLogic IT is the technology franchise small and medium-sized businesses increasingly rely on for turnkey support. TeamLogic IT’s managed IT services contracts give clients peace of mind around their technology needs, and provide franchise owners with a steady, predictable revenue stream. The company now serves a wide and growing variety of clients in every business sector, from tourism and hospitality to healthcare, legal and accounting. Along the way, TeamLogic IT has grown to more than 200 locations around North America and continues to expand in both new and existing markets.
