Vendors Host Special Awareness Sessions At TeamLogic IT Owners Summit

Vendor participation continues to rise each year as TeamLogic IT network grows and its influence is felt in more communities nationwide

The TeamLogic IT Franchise Owners Summit has taken on a life of its own, thanks to strong participation not just from owners, but also from the many vendors who do business with TeamLogic IT.

Over the last few years, the Summit’s vendor area has hit capacity, even with overflow areas set up. This year there were 30 on-hand, and that’s because the companies who manufacture hardware and software, as well as those who offer cloud, security and other services want to get in front of TeamLogic IT owners.

“They want to showcase what they’re offering, and when we have hundreds of our people all in one place, they scramble to get a booth,” says Chuck Lennon, president. “It’s a testament not just to our growth, but also to the quality and valuable work that our TeamLogic IT franchise owners and their tech teams provide.”

Vendor presentations draw crowds

To maximize attendee exposure to vendors, TeamLogic IT opted to allow several vendors to participate in breakout sessions. While these mirrored those that were held on sales, marketing, business practices and other hands-on elements of running a business, they were unique in their approach, Chuck says.

“We called it a ‘vendor showcase,’ and it was really just a round-robin where franchise owners could come in and move from one to the next over a couple of hours,” he explains. “That meant that the vendor had to give several back-to-back presentations over that time, but it also meant that they had a small group to focus on, rather than trying to talk to people as they would walk by a booth. It took away that ‘trade show’ feel, and let the vendors get more in-depth with the franchise owners. And at the same time, the franchise owners got a much deeper understanding of the product, and walked away with a better understanding of how it could help them with their business.”

Boon to first-time attendees

In addition to its largest attendance to date, this year’s Owners Summit also had the most first-time attendees ever — 46 — thanks to TeamLogic IT’s phenomenal growth in recent months. That made the new vendor showcase opportunity even more effective.

“These people are on fire, and they are going gangbusters in terms of making calls, setting up proposals and bringing in clients,” Chuck says. “But they’re still learning, and for every new technology they master there are 10 more coming down the pike. Putting them in short, meaningful interactions with our trusted vendors, people whose products and services we have vetted and vouched for, gave our newest TeamLogic IT franchise owners an even richer convention experience.”
