Vendors Make Big Impact At TeamLogic IT Franchise Owners Meeting

Tech providers know who’s strong in the marketplace, so they are eager to get their products and services in front of proven operators

When TeamLogic IT franchise owners gather for their yearly summit, one thing is a constant: there are more people. Many of them are new franchise owners, but the crowds also are swelling thanks to continued and increasing interest from IT vendors of all kinds who want to showcase their offerings to these small business owners.

“We have more franchise owners every year, so we have more workshops, get-togethers and ways for them to interact,” explains Chuck Lennon, president. “And a few years ago, we began having a vendor exhibition space, just to see how it would do. It’s gotten bigger every year, and this last fall we were turning people away.”

Variety of tech vendors continues to grow

As in years past, all kinds of IT vendors were on hand, as well as a growing number of companies that support small businesses in operational ways. There were 36 suppliers on hand at the 2017 summit, and the diversity was stronger than ever before.

“We had a lot of hardware and software vendors, naturally, because our technical-vendor bench continues to get deeper all the time,” Chuck says. “And we also had operational vendors, such as phone answering services, financing companies, vehicle leasing companies, and marketing and communications providers It was a really good cross section of companies and they really stepped up to the plate.”

Reception offers more facetime opportunities

In addition to frequent giveaways, which let companies engage with the TeamLogic IT franchise owners on hand, there was also a special reception for vendors to continue and expand those interactions.

“They were giving away their own products, which is smart marketing, but they were also throwing in things like Amazon Echoes that really had people coming around,” Chuck says. “And the reception gave them another chance to network, which they loved. I’d say that our vendor showcase continues to be a big success, given that most of them were asking about how to sign up for next year before this year’s summit was even over!”
