TeamLogic IT Customer Review: ‘They prevent problems from occurring’
In a TeamLogic IT customer review, dermatology and cosmetic surgery clinic shares the benefits of hiring the IT services franchise
The Mountain View, CA-based Menkes Clinic was experiencing growing pains. After more than two decades of providing cosmetic surgery and skin care treatments, the clinic’s growth was outstripping its IT capabilities. Three years ago, the clinic’s head of business operations, Barbara Patterson, hired a new, locally-owned IT business to provide solutions. This is her TeamLogic IT customer review:
“The technological requirements for a doctor’s office have changed quite a bit over the past few years,” Barbara says. “The number of employees we have and the type of applications they use have increased. So have the technological requirements of the job.”
The clinic has grown from four employees to 20. They rely on their computer systems and software to manage customer information, send invoices and collect electronic payments.
Before partnering with TeamLogic IT, the software was not being updated routinely, and the office’s computer hardware wasn’t adequate to meet the demand of a growing staff and increasing patient volume.
“I found we were having inadequate tech support,” Barbara says.
She started gathering names and references for computer support and networking providers.
“I interviewed a couple of people, then bumped into Jon Simms (owner of TeamLogic IT of Mountain View, CA) at a Chamber of Commerce event,” Barbara says. “I like Jon; he seemed like a salt-of-the-earth kind of guy who would follow through and do whatever he committed to.”
Over the past three years, that impression has been proven correct, as TeamLogic IT helped the Menkes Clinic assess the old IT infrastructure and come up with a plan to update their systems to be ready for new demands.
TeamLogic IT now manages the Menkes Clinic’s file and print server, does daily backups of their servers and provides onsite technology help. Barbara says there was no disruption during the process of migrating to TeamLogic IT’s services.
“We were up and running the whole time,” Barbara says, “which means a lot, as we can’t really run our business if our servers are down.”
Critically, the upgrades have made it possible for Menkes Clinic to meet electronic health record (EHR) guidelines set by the federal government. Compensation to healthcare providers is tied to implementation of EHRs.
Barbara says it’s also nice to have peace of mind thanks to the ongoing managed services relationship the clinic has with Jon and his company.
“We have good open communication with TeamLogic,” she says. “They prevent problems from occurring, and if I have any issues, they are there to resolve it.”
