TeamLogic IT Franchise Owners Offer Tech Opportunities To Students
Technology franchise prides itself on community engagement, including supporting local education programs to encourage IT students
TeamLogic IT franchise owners love interacting with their customers, and pride themselves on being engaged and active community members. They also know how important it is to encourage local educators, and students, to stay on top of all things IT in order to succeed in a growing tech economy increasingly supported by TeamLogic IT’s managed IT services model.
That’s why they get involved as often as they can to support tech students and IT programs. When they can partner with state programs, as Decatur, Ala., TeamLogic IT technology franchise owner Larry Anderson, recently did, it’s truly a win-win for all involved.
Program connects students with on-the-job learning
As was recently featured on Alabama’s Yellowhammer news site. The Decatur TeamLogic IT franchise worked with AlabamaWorks’ On-The-Job Training program, which is funded by the U.S. Department of Labor and administered through the Alabama Department of Commerce and works with the Alabama Career Center System across the state connecting employers to job seekers.
Jaydon Thomas, TeamLogic IT’s new tech, first heard of the program through the Montgomery Career Center, which connected the recent Trenholm State Community Graduate with TeamLogic IT. “It was on-the-job training – it was my first IT job, so I had to jump on it,” Thomas says.
Tech-program engagement helps build talent pipeline
The program was a good deal for TeamLogic IT as well, in many ways. If participants meet certain criteria and the employer opts to hire the candidate, the employer can save 50% of training costs covered by the program, according to the report.
“One of the goals within our company when we started was to really be a part of the community – and of course we want a successful business – but we wanted to bring people along and help them be successful,” Anderson said. “So, partnering with the Career Center gave us an opportunity to take on someone like Jaydon, who had some classroom experience, and bring him into our company, put an arm around him and teach him some practical, real-life skills within a program where they have some all-around support.”
TeamLogic IT is the technology franchise small and medium-sized businesses increasingly rely on for turnkey support. TeamLogic IT’s managed IT services contracts give clients peace of mind around their technology needs, and provide franchise owners with a steady, predictable revenue stream. The company now serves a wide and growing variety of clients in every business sector, from tourism and hospitality to healthcare, legal and accounting. Along the way, TeamLogic IT has grown to more than 250 locations around North America and continues to expand in both new and existing markets.
