Standout onboarding and continuing education for franchise owners continues in spite of challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic

Every TeamLogic IT technology franchise owner knows how to find a workaround when problems crop up. The training and development team at the corporate office is no different, so when travel and physical restrictions affected in-person learning earlier this year, they stepped up with alternatives.

“Normally when someone signs a franchise agreement, we kick into high gear with training,” explains Chuck Lennon, Executive Vice President. “They begin with some online coursework, and then spend time in our corporate training center, as part of their TeamLogic IT University experience. This year, all that changed.”

Smaller classes — and more of them

While TeamLogic University continued, the size of classes shrunk to only six people in order to keep students and instructors safe. At the same time, many more blocks of classes were added to the schedule, so that new TeamLogic IT franchise owners weren’t held up any longer than absolutely necessary.

“A new franchise owner is itching to get started,” Lennon says. “They want to get that business up and running, and they are excited. We love to see that, and so we worked out a schedule that got everyone here as quickly as possible, through the training and then back into their community, so they could get moving on all the other aspects of setting up their new business.”

More online options keep the learning pipeline full

At the same time, TeamLogic IT’s legendary user groups and online community has been going full throttle. More webinars, town hall meetings and other networking opportunities have been added to the schedule so that franchise owners can continue to share best practices, collaborate on multistate opportunities and more.
