Lyn: One of the things that makes TeamLogic extremely unique is the community that we have. We’ve become well known for the expertise that we provide to our clients.

Why TeamLogic IT is a great opportunity for women business owners:

Lyn: So sometimes people ask, “What is it like being a woman owner of a business?” And I think TeamLogic IT is a perfect franchise for women. I’m always super excited when I come across women technicians, because there’s not a lot of them in the field. But there’s some advantages of being a woman in IT as well, because you gain a reputation, you become known for the excellence that you bring. I think TeamLogic IT is an amazing franchise for women, because you have the same opportunities to build your business as every other owner.

Using past experiences to become an effective franchise owner:

Lyn: One of the things that I think potential franchisees need to do is to assess their strengths and weaknesses before they start a business, before they buy into a franchise. When I look at myself, I saw someone who has no knowledge at all in terms of marketing, not a lot of business experience, but a lot of leadership and management experience. I spent more than 30 years in the Army, and during that entire time, spent a lot of time learning leadership.

Hiring a team that aligns with the unique culture at TeamLogic IT:

Lyn: I think it’s really important to invest a lot of time in your interviewing process, because I want to make sure that the people that we’re bringing into the team have the same kind of mindset that fits our culture.

We feel responsible for the wellbeing of our clients, and if they’re failing, then we’re failing. And if the techs don’t own that, if my team doesn’t own that, if the marketing and sales doesn’t own that, then they’re not the right fit for our culture. So for my own business, what I’d like to do is continue to grow within our area and continue to build our team.
