After building and operating his own IT company, Pratik joined TeamLogic IT to tap into a proven franchise model. He shares what motivated his decision and what he believes drives high performance within the network.

Q: How did you find TeamLogic IT?

Pratik: I had an interesting path to TeamLogic IT. I previously owned an MSP in Tampa, which I acquired, grew, and eventually sold to a private equity firm. The idea after that was to find a larger MSP, buy it, and do it all over again, hopefully avoiding some of the mistakes I’d made the first time.

While I was searching for MSPs to acquire, I came across one in Pennsylvania that happened to be a TeamLogic IT franchise. At first, I was surprised as I’d never heard of an MSP operating under a franchise model. It caught my attention.

As I continued conversations with the seller and spoke with a few people from TeamLogic IT, I started to see the value in the collaboration and the sales and marketing engine that the franchisor had built. That’s what really drew me in. This time around, I realized I wouldn’t have to worry about sales and marketing from a lead generation perspective. That was a huge advantage and ultimately what brought me to TeamLogic IT.

Q: You are the top performer in TeamLogic IT. What’s your “secret sauce”?

Pratik: At the end of the day, we’re a service business, so everything hinges on people. And because of that, our “secret sauce” is culture. Our culture is built on three foundational pillars: empathy, transparency, and data-driven decision-making.

And so that has become our central mantra. Even when we’re giving feedback, we do it with empathy. The goal is always to help our team grow. We’re invested in their improvement and advancement, and that’s the spirit behind every conversation.

Q: What is it like to be a part of a franchise system that’s celebrating their 20th year anniversary?

Pratik: Though I’ve been involved with TeamLogic IT and the franchise system for about four years now, it’s clear they’ve come a long way.

In the IT industry, things evolve quickly. Historically, we’d see major changes every five years, but now, it feels like it’s every three to four years. The pace of technological change is so fast that you almost have to rethink your entire business model every few years just to stay relevant.

What really stands out about TeamLogic IT is that the brand has successfully navigated multiple major industry shifts. That says a lot about the entire brand and the people behind it.

Q: What are you most proud of as a franchise owner with TeamLogic IT?

Pratik: One thing I always tell my employees is that the most important assets in our lives are the ones waiting for us at home. We do this work so we can enjoy time with our families. You can always make more money, but there’s a trade-off. You can’t have it all, and you have to be willing to acknowledge that.

What I’m most proud of is that we’ve built a business that’s not only profitable but also allows us to live a comfortable life. I have two daughters, and I’m present for their school events, their parent-teacher meetings. I go on a vacation with my family twice a year. Being able to balance both work and family like that? It takes a village.

So I can’t help but thank my employees, key executive team members, and the TeamLogic IT franchise to be able to sustain a life like that.
