TeamLogic IT Franchises Attract Media Attention For Strong Growth
Business reporters like a success story, which means more and more TeamLogic IT technology franchise owners are getting good press
A lot of recent business coverage has focused on the challenges faced over the past two years. Such as how small businesses that held on are struggling to come back. Some coverage has highlighted those that did well in an it franchise with unprecedented period of challenge.
One of the latter is a profile in The Winchester Star that took a close look at Virginia TeamLogic IT franchise owner Ken Blackwell. Among the story’s findings: Blackwell’s TeamLogic IT technology franchise grew by almost 50% during the last two years, both in terms of client volume as well as staff. Blackwell began the Winchester franchise in 2017, opened a subsequent office in Leesburg and then Manassas in 2020.
Top local talent allows for growth in lean times
“First of all, I’ve been an entrepreneur for 30-plus years and growing businesses is nothing new to me,” Blackwell told the paper. “But teamwork and being able to recruit good people who are flexible has really helped. And the community around us is great. The Winchester area helps us recruit good talent. We’ve got a good quality of life and good cost structures.”
“The fact that we were able to do this in the Winchester market and be one of the fastest-growing TeamLogic IT offices and have the level of growth that we have is incredible. It’s driven by a great workforce here with a great work ethic,” added Blackwell, who also serves as an adjunct professor at Lord Fairfax Community College and has recruited staff from there as well as nearby George Mason University.
Managed IT services provides many service options
Blackwell explains the value of TeamLogic IT technology fservices by pointing out that most small businesses can’t support an internal IT staff. Having a trusted partner who, by way of a managed IT services contract, can support existing systems while also recommending and implementing new ones, is the chief reason behind TeamLogic IT’s growth here, and nationwide.
“Typically, most of these businesses are not large enough to have their own IT staff internally. They outsource that to us, and we manage it for them. Some of the larger companies do have an IT staff, and we augment their work,” Blackwell told the paper. “We had some customers downsizing and essentially being shut down who were looking for ways to cut costs, and we worked with them to help them get through it. At the same time, it was driving new business for us because more people were working from home and looking for cybersecurity and other technology services. There were more devices being used that we were able to position for customers.”
